Cat Rides.

A favorite from Retallack.  Beers after a solid day of riding.

Monster Snow.

Monster snow for Vermont yesterday, 24+ inches.  Deepest snow we've seen in two years.  In some spots it was to deep - kinda like a surf break closing out.  Anyway today was kind of a fuck show in that it was still snowing but it was so wet that it more or less ruined the skiing.  Oh well, I'm sure it will dump again soon.  Till then...

Oh Canada.

Just returned from an awesome 5 day trip to British Columbia, Canada.  Met a bunch of cool new friends and rode some insanely steep powder at a lodge called Retallack.  The place is off the charts fun.  If you have the means I highly recommend it.

Here is a video from a short ferry ride between Revelstoke and Retallack.

Feature.

It took over 4 months and thousands of miles traveling to finish but Mike Horn and I got it done in fine fashion.  The story was for Backcountry Magazine and it takes a look into what drives search and rescue volunteers to put everything on the line for others.

Here is a great quote from the story:
"The good news is the rescue team is on the way.  The bad news?  The rescue team is on the way."

Powder.

There hasn't been any measurable snow at my home mountain since before the New Year so when I heard that Jay Peak was getting slammed and that the lifts hadn't run in a day I knew I had to get up there.  It did not disappoint.  In some spots I'd say 20-24 inches of blower.

BOOM.
