It's Over.

After just a horrible March with NO measurable snow and the past few days of torrential flood causing rains I am officially calling it a winter here in Vermont.  With what looks like my last on snow shoot Friday and the golf course opening Saturday I think I can safely put away the skis and boots.  That said my friends out west are having another banger late season push.  The Cottonwood Canyons are calling for 24"-36" today and tomorrow, should be fun for them.

I pulled this shot from the archives to remind myself that snow can get this deep.
Location: Solitude, Utah.  Skier: Guy Morneault.

Cured meat.

Made a quick trip down to Stratton today to grab a few shots for 7 Days newspaper.  The shoot was at a restaurant called Verde.  Place looks great.  The Chef makes his own dry cured meats.  Are you kidding me?  Homemade cured meats?  We're talking prosciutto's, soppressata's,  capicola's, and pancetta's.

I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little rockier than this.

Just back from a very productive and fun trip to Colorado and Utah.  Worked on a few shots for a few clients and rode with some old and new friends.  Even found some cold winter powder on the North facing slopes.  Video to come.

As to keep with action sports photographer protocol, I snapped some airport shots while traveling home.  I think these were at DIA.

Caddy.

Woke up this morning in a bad motel room in Sandy, Utah.  Pulled back the blinds to see this sweet early 80's silver Caddy.  Today was going to be good.

Deep From the Archives.

While doing the big hard drive switch a few weeks ago I reviewed tons of old images I hadn't seen in years.  It's funny how ones tastes change over time.  This particular shot really didn't do much for me three years ago but now for some reason it it does.

Yum.

My breakfast while on location up at Jay Peak a few weeks ago.  And yes, it was as good as it looks.
